[Instead of fishing like the rest of the goons, Sabrina spent a good hour or so wandering over to the forest, an hour wandering around the forest, then an hour wandering back to the beach. She gathered up a few pots and jars on the way, and she's currently... doing something with them. They're shaking, vaguely, in the sort of way that makes you double-take to make sure it wasn't just a trick of your eyes.
Sabrina pops the lid onto one, sticks her ear to it, then gives an approving nod and puts it into the pile with the other two dozen or so.
Cupping her hands around her mouth, she calls out to the poor yokels that are actually doing their jobs.]
Hey there! Some of you look pretty tired of all this crap by this point, but no need to worry! I have a miracle cure for your ails. It's pretty cool, you know. Think of it as a potion to catch a fish.
Price is set at one fish a piece. [... Hold on, there might be a logic gap here.]
[Leia's spending some time with a cousin of the chief - which is good! She was worried she'd have to pony up for a hotel - actually, this far out they only had inns - but now she's living for free.
And everyone's so nice, too! She knows a reporter shouldn't be biased, but there's something really nice about the countryside. It's a lot closer to home than the bustling cities around here.
Maybe a little too nice. Leia's cornered outside a supermarket with about four little old ladies chatting her up, inexplicably holding a basketful of peaches. She didn't come here for those. Those were just given to her.]
Gosh, I couldn't possibly take these - ['We insist!' and then the old ladies chatter for a few minutes in agreement. Leia kind of gives up, just lets the conversation flow, but -
'Do you have a boyfriend back in the city, Leia-chan?']
Wha- haha... uhm, well, for, for right now, I'm kind of dating my work... ['Girls today are like that, aren't they?' 'You should relax a little while you're still young. My grandson knows some nice boys...']
Oh, I'd love to, but - ah, look at the time! Really sorry, gotta get back to work, thanks for the peaches... [Leia bows a lot - a habit she'd had to develop after moving to japan - and hurries off before they can catch her. Sweet old ladies, but maybe a little too sweet?
Leia pauses for breath once she's safe, glances around and. Spots a little girl, just sort of staring at her.]
Uhm. Hey. [Leia raises her hand, awkwardly.]
Er, want a peach, sweetheart? [And indicates the basket, too. She's got like a dozen. She doesn't even like peaches that much.]
